Originally I became a dental assistant because I wanted to have a job I could do anywhere in the world. I have always had a fascination of the human body and thought why not give it a try, little did I know how much I love teeth! I graduated in March 2014 from KDM dental collage and have been a dental assistant for almost 5 years. I have worked with a wide range of providers from general dentistry, pediatrics, orthodontics and periodontics. In October 2017 I traveled to Haiti with a team of dentist, hygienists, assistants and support staff to preform free dental for the people of Timo, a small town in Haiti. I have a strong passion for all aspects of dentistry and have met so many wonderful people over the past 5 years, however I was finding that my career choice was feeling more like a job then something life long. At this time the opportunity to work full time with Dr. Shackleton came up. I really enjoy the work Dr. Shackleton does and being a part of a solution to get people out of pain. Since working for him full time I have been introduced to the oro-facial pain side of things. This, along with the endodontic treatments he provides has allowed me to find the area of dentistry that fits me most. Working here is very rewarding, we play a huge role in helping and teaching people how to get out of pain. I am so grateful to be a part of such a small supportive team.
